Letter Writing
My letter writing takes many different forms, especially as I have aged through school. What letter writing means to me is using the ability of written word to communicate wants, needs, and other emotions. Whether it be to yourself or to send to someone else it gives the writer the chance to dive into their emotions and share them with whomever they chose in a tangible format. Out of the many things this course has to offer, I am excited to read the love letters and the last letters from World War Two. I have always enjoyed historical works of literature, and these are real first hand accounts. Therefore, I am excited about both the readings and writing about the readings to share my interest in the subject with others. Though with all that excitement, I am concerned about the course load. I tend to overwork myself beyond belief and I am worried about my ability to produce quality work in the time I have provided myself.
My Writing Process
My writing process, in my opinion, is quite unique, and is a strong combination of all the ways and all the strategies I have been taught. I like how I use outlines to pre-write in an efficient way. The bullet points and quick ideas give me the chance to explore what I want to say before I even start writing. Not to mention the list of ideas keeps me from losing information I might want to include if I spread out the time I am using to write. Though I strive for perfection, I know my writing definitely needs work. I would specifically like to work on my grammar when it comes to writing. I tend to add way too many commas or word things in a way that is slightly confusing to read. Thankfully, this course seems to be promising in improving all the little things I despise about my writing. I hope to sound more intelligent and well thought out in my writing. As well as I hope to become a strong writer while still keeping my ability to write efficiently and in an organized fashion.
